Рабочий по дорожной разметке жестоко напал на курьера в Паттайе из-за инцидента с мокрой краской
Pattaya, Thailand A violent incident erupted on July 1st, 2025, at 6:00 PM, when a road marking worker brutally attacked a 20-year-old delivery rider in front of a convenience store in Soi Naklua 12.
The victim, Mr. Phattharadanai Phimthong, a rider for a convenience store, filed a complaint with Police Lieutenant Colonel Aphichet Metheethamphorn, an investigator at Banglamung Police Station, to press charges against the assailant, identified as Mr. Pat, a 43-year-old road marking worker. The assault stemmed from Mr. Pats anger after Mr. Phattharadanai accidentally rode his motorcycle over freshly painted traffic lines.
According to Mr. Phattharadanai, the incident occurred around noon on the same day. He was delivering multiple packs of drinking water to a customer when he noticed a team of workers painting traffic lines near the convenience store. While maneuvering his heavily loaded motorcycle, he unintentionally rode over the wet paint while making a turn, unaware of the issue at the time. Upon returning to the store, Mr. Pat confronted him, blocking the road and forcing him to stop. Without warning, Mr. Pat punched Mr. Phattharadanai in the face, kneed him, causing the motorcycle to fall, and then kicked him in the face as he collapsed to the ground. The assault left Mr. Phattharadanai with blood pouring from his mouth. Other road marking workers eventually intervened to stop the attack.
Mr. Phattharadanai admitted his mistake in riding over the wet paint but expressed frustration that Mr. Pat resorted to violence instead of resolving the issue calmly. He noted that he did not argue or respond aggressively and questioned why Mr. Pat, aware that he worked nearby, did not opt for a discussion. Following the incident, Mr. Phattharadanai sought medical attention at Pattaya Hospital for severe chest tightness and headaches. He vowed to pursue legal action against Mr. Pat to the fullest extent. CCTV footage from the scene captured the incident, showing Mr. Phattharadanai riding back to the store after a delivery. Mr. Pat is seen blocking the road, forcing the rider to stop, before launching the violent attack with punches, a knee strike, and a final kick to the face. The video, now a key piece of evidence, has been submitted to the police as part of the complaint. Banglamung Police attended the scene, documented the incident, and recorded details of the assailant. The investigation is ongoing, with Mr. Phattharadanai determined to seek justice for the unprovoked assault.
