Pattaya, Thailand A tragic accident claimed the life of a 37-year-old man in the early hours of July 1st, 2025, when his motorcycle veered off a curve and crashed off a motorway bridge in Pattaya. The incident occurred at 3:06 AM on the Pattaya-Bangkok Motorway (Highway 7, Section 5) in Nongprue.

The Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Unit in Pattaya received the emergency call and immediately dispatched a team of volunteer rescuers to the scene.

At the site, authorities discovered a severely damaged red Yamaha Grand Filano motorcycle, which had crashed into the bridge's guardrail after losing control on a curve. Below the bridge, approximately five meters down, lay the body of Mr. Theerapong Rueangrit, a 37-year-old resident of Sukhothai Province. He had sustained catastrophic injuries, including a torn abdomen and severely fractured arms and legs.

Rescue personnel and medical teams attempted CPR and first aid to save his life, but Mr. Theerapong succumbed to his injuries shortly after due to their severity.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Nakrob Siriphan, an investigator from the Mabprachan Investigation Unit, documented the scene as evidence. No witnesses to the crash have come forward, and authorities are awaiting CCTV footage to determine the exact cause of the accident.

The victim's body was transported to Banglamung Hospital, where it is being held pending arrangements by relatives for traditional religious funeral rites.

The incident serves as a somber reminder of the dangers of high-speed travel on motorways, particularly in the early hours.
